"I've tried everything, but can't keep the weight off!"

Weight Loss Resistance

I know how frustrating it can be to feel like you've done everything "right," but still can't lose the fat you're desperate to get rid of. That's because fad diets, counting calories or points, and working out incessantly doesn't address the root cause of weight loss resistance: inflammation. Several things cause chronic inflammation in the body, and inflammation doesn't always come with acute pain! Some causes of inflammation include:

  • check
Toxins. Our food, body products, household cleaners and toxins in our environment all contribute to weight gain.
  • check
Bad Fats. Canola and vegetable oils become toxic and inflammatory at high heat.
  • check
Sugar. Not only does sugar drive inflammation, it is highly addictive!
  • High Cortisol. Cortisol is the stress hormone. High cortisol levels will block fat burning!
  • Insulin Resistance. Insulin receptors become blocked when we eat the wrong foods.

All these things are tied to chronic inflammation and affect whether we can lose weight! On top of that, emotional eating, intestinal dysbiosis (an overgrowth of gut bacteria) and more can also keep our bodies from being able to burn fat.

"Trina’s work is famously effective, affirming and empowering.

I am convinced that when a person is feeling symptoms, there is far more going on with the patient than we Western trained physicians are able to access. Trina’s wealth of medical knowledge is amazingly vast and she knows when to guide the patient back to our Western approach when necessary.

I have always felt confident in her keen intuition that inherently knows what each individual patients needs."
